Children may come into the school playground at 8.35am at the earliest, school gates will be locked until this time.

The school day begins at 8.45am when staff are ready to welcome and receive the children in their classrooms.

Registers are called at 8.45 am so please ensure children arrive promptly for the start of school.

Collective worship is held every day.  On Friday we hold parents’ assemblies which are usually conducted by a class and parents are warmly invited to attend.

Break-times

During this time, children are encouraged to have fun and play with playground equipment.  In the interests of safety; hard footballs are not allowed in the playground.  At wet playtimes, children stay in their classrooms and find a board game or another quiet activity – e.g. reading, finishing off a task etc.  All breaks are supervised by adults.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children will only be released when their parents or their representative meets them in the playground. Any child below the age of seven (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) will be taken back into school if there is no one to meet them. No child can leave the school without permission.
