Remembrance 2021
On Thursday 11th November, it was lovely to see all of the children being able to participate in the community service at Pinchbeck Village Memorial for the fallen servicemen and women of the World Wars and later conflicts. The service was led by The Royal British Legion and Reverend Sweeting, with contributions made by Year 5 children. Inspired by war poetry in our English lessons, several children recited their own remembrance poems. There was also as a group reading of In Flanders’ Fields. As a mark of respect, crosses bearing the names of local servicemen were laid at the memorial along with the traditional remembrance wreaths. The children acted with great respect and made us all very proud.
