Curriculum Intent Statement
Our school celebrates its own identity, as well as being part of a wider Trust, with the assurance that the curriculum enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their emotional, social and academic development. It develops the skills set to enable every child to become ‘the best version of themselves’ and therefore a confident and important member of society in modern Britain.
To enable the children of Pinchbeck East C of E Academy to achieve a confident and positive attitude to lifelong learning, through high levels of curiosity, concentration and enjoyment, we will deliver an engaging subject-based curriculum and ensure first quality teaching that strives:
Our curriculum is underpinned by our Christian Values to develop every child’s capacity for spiritual awareness of the world around them.
Our learners will understand local, national and global perspectives, with a strong sense of self-identity and social responsibility with high aspirations. They will develop a genuine love and enjoyment of learning characterised by positive behaviours including resilience, perseverance, and resourcefulness and with the confidence to learn.
In summary, our children will learn more, know more, remember more, enjoy more and develop more academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. Thus, enabling them to be resilient and confident in all challenges within the next stages of education and their further life. Our children will then forever be the best versions of themselves in all aspects of modern life today.
