The school provides a daily act of Collective Worship for all the children. Collective Worships on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are for the whole school in the hall, with Wednesday’s worship being led by Reverend Sweeting from St. Mary’s Church in Pinchbeck. On Tuesdays, children in the two key stages alternate between a key stage Collective Worship and a class Collective Worship in their own classroom, led by the class teacher. Collective Worships are a special time within the school day, although parents should be aware that they do have the right to withdraw their children from Collective Worship if they so wish.
Acts of collective worship involve many approaches, themes and activities. Common to all will be prayer and praising, hymn singing and reflection. Through our acts of Collective Worship, we hope to promote spiritual and moral growth.
Our Bishop’s visitor also visits on a regular basis to do work related to the Bishop of Lincoln’s letter.
We hold a number of services at St. Mary’s Church, including Harvest Festival, Christmas, Candlemas and Easter. We have also had visits from the Bishop of Lincoln and have had the pleasure of receiving letters from the Bishop in several of our community Collective Worships.
On Wednesday 11th December Rev. Sweeting officially opened and blessed our Bible Garden.
